Happy New Year!

I just LOVE the yummy colors at Stacey's Curtain Call Color Challenge this week! I got so carried away that I made 2 cards!

When I first saw these colors on Stacey's blog , www.stampinwithstacey.blogspot.com/ , I immediately thought of doing the Baby Girl card but while I was cutting out the Crushed Curry panel, I had a flashback to my childhood and the Fiestaware that my Mom had that was just about that color. I couldn't resist making a yummy ice cream sundae in that old Fiestaware!

Stamps: Goody Goody Gumdrops, Polka Dot Background

Ink: Pink Passion and Versamark

Paper: Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Crushed Curry, Real Red, DSP

Other: Real Red Designer Button, SU 1/4" Light Pink grosgrain ribbon,

Stampin' Pastels.

Curtain Call Color Challenge: Act 8

Happy Halloween!

This week's Curtain Call Color Challenge over at Stacey's Stampin Stage, http://www.stampinwithstacey.blogspot.com/, is all about those great Halloween colors: Basic Black, Pumkin Pie and Whisper White.
I created a little Halloween fun with my Frankie card -
I saw one similiar to this on someone elses blog and thought I'd give it a try - isn't he cute?
I used my Big Shot to cut out the head and hair using the Top Note die, then trimmed up the bangs by hand.
For the eyes, I used various sizes of circle punches and Whisper White, Basic Black and Old Olive cardstock.
The mouth and scar are hand drawn using a Stampin' Write Marker in Basic Black.
Next, I layered Frankie on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and Black & White designer paper with his final resting place being another piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock that I stamped tone on tone using Pumpkin Pie ink and the .Stampin' Up Weathered Background stamp.
I just couldn't resist adding a little something inside this card too, so I colored a sentiment from the Holiday Best Hostess Set with Stampin' Write Markers and layered my little heart out once again!
Have a safe and fun-filled Halloween everyone!

Happy Halloween!

Wow - it's been awhile since my last post, but I have been oh so busy for the past few weeks! Lots going on with family and work - not to mention all the handmade goodies I created for the Town & Country Women's Club annual Trunk or Treat.
What a blast that was! And all the kids looked so adorable... especially my grandbabies!
This weekend my daughter Angela and I will be attending a baby shower for my niece Heather and I couldn't resist making my own special gift container for the 2 adorable outfits we got her.
I am really enjoying making Altered Paint Cans and getting better at it each time I make one.
I also made the card to coordinate with the colors and patterns - hope she likes it!
So far I have made several Altered Paint Cans in pink for Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising and this Baby Boy can. It doesn't cost much more than gift wrap and really adds a personal and unique touch I think.
Well, I am off to make a card for a color challenge so stay tuned!

Curtain Call

Happy Birthday, Hannah!

In celebration of Hannah's 5th Birthday, Curtain Call Color Challenge is looking delicious this week at Stacey's Stampin' Stage, http://www.stampinwithstacey.blogspot.com/
This is my first Curtain Call Color Challenge and the colors were just too tempting to pass up: Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise and Lavender Lace.
I designed a fairly no nonsense card using a modified Warhol design that makes the yummy cupcakes pop right off of the card! I also LOVE layering so this card has multiple layers that make it super dimensional.
I added the scallop birthday charm to pull it all together.
Supplies used:
Stamps: SU Birthday Best, SU That's Funny
Paper: SU So Saffron, Lavender Lace, Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White
Ink: SU So Saffron, Lavender Lace, Tempting Turquoise, Pimpkin Pie, Whisper White and Basic Black.
Other: So Saffron grosgrain ribbon, SU dimensionals, SU punches

Here goes nuthin'...

OK, so I caved... I'm blogging.
Mostly I am doing this as an outlet for my crafting and to hook up with others that have similiar interests.
It's a perk that it's therapeutic.
So I will be posting ideas, pictures, tutorials, etc. related to crafting with an emphasis on rubber stampin and papercrafting.
Please drop me a line and let me know how I am doing, introduce yourself and make a new friend.
Life's too short to set limitations - look at me...I'm blogging!
